The Power of the 12 Steps

November 24th @10am
Who among us have not felt powerless over something in our lives?
How many times do we try to use our will to create change only to fail over and over again.

In this sermon Martine will explore the power of the 12 steps of Alcoholic Anonymous
and how non alcoholics can utilize the 12 steps in our everyday lives. We will look at the
dynamics of the 12 steps and how they can lead all of us to a spiritual awaking if we are
open to the fundamental concepts; Accountability for our actions, exploring our wounds,
community, service ,humility, surrender, acceptance and a belief in a higher power.
We will look at this topic from a psychological perspective as well as a deeply spiritual
perspective.

Martine Kieffer is a licensed clinical social worker who maintains a virtual private therapy
practice. Her therapeutic focus is on trauma, addiction and spiritual issues. Martine also
teaches as part of a prison college program helping incarcerated men obtain their
associates degree. Martine is a non-denominational minister

Don't miss this chance to experience a deeper understanding of yourself .

Child care will be provided

Resiliency in times of Uncertainty

The APA defines Resilience as the “process and outcome of successfully adapting to difficult or challenging life experiences, especially through mental, emotional, and behavioral flexibility and adjustment to external and internal demands.”

Let’s come together this Sunday in community and discuss our paths going forward in this post-election time of uncertainty.  How can we help ourselves and our families to be resilient in the face of a changing political landscape?
There will be childcare for kids.

Please join us.  All are welcome!
