Potluck and Live Music! Hope you can join us!  "Loaves and Fishes" led by Christian Sloan
Sunday @ 10AM We'll talk about an alternative interpretation to the story of Jesus feeding the masses with the 5 or 7 loaves of bread and 2 or a few fishes. Though the details change in different accounts of the loaves and the fishes, the interpretation has remained constant. This interpretation alters the explanations of the miracle and speaks of a timely purpose.  Guided Meditations
Sundays 12PM Guided Meditations will begin at noon in the SUUF sanctuary. They will be approximately 30 minutes long followed by medical intuitive healing for anyone would like to stay. Led by Bryan Nolan, a medical massage therapist and Shaman.  "Anger" with Martine Kieffer
Sunday @ 10 AM This service will be an exploration of a very misunderstood emotion: Anger. We will explore its God given values and purpose. We will also explore how it often goes astray into destruction. Martine Kieffer is a licensed clinical social worker who maintains a private practice. Her focus of treatment is trauma, addiction and spiritual issues. She also teaches a college course in Northern State Prison in Newark and East Jersey State prison in Rahway. Martine is a non-denominational minster who works with people of all religions and spiritual beliefs  "Ramadan - the holiest Islamic month" with SUUF Member Marin Martin

In Unitarian Universalism, we affirm the wisdom found in many spiritual traditions, and Ramadan invites all of us—Muslim or not—to practice gratitude, deepen our compassion, and renew our commitment to justice. Sunday at 10AM In today’s overstimulated society, it is often difficult to experience quietness, stillness, solitude. Mother Theresa one said that we need silence to be able to touch souls, including our own. Today’s service focuses on spiritual stillness, an active choice of quieting the mind and body, not just the absence of noise. There are many ways to cultivate stillness such as in nature and in prayer. Today we will use meditation as our method. We will embrace several different kinds of meditation. Come join us and find your stillness. |
