The Sewing Share have been such a success, we're having another! There will be sewing machines to share and demonstrate, and knowledgeable sewers to lead the way! Machine and hand sewing tips and techniques will be offered. "Sew" come on out and play!

 Pizza and Notes to Detainees
Thursday July 9th 6-8PM There are hundreds of immigrants imprisoned in detention centers in New Jersey. Delaney Hall in Newark is the largest on the east coast. Many of these immigrants were abducted while following the rules of checking in or while working at their jobs. Many have been imported from other states and have no family or friends here for support. We will gather downstairs at SUUF to write notes or kids to draw pictures of support and encouragement to our sisters and brothers behind the barbed wire. We work with the Pax Christi organization to get these notes addressed and mailed because nothing can just be brought in. Please come and participate in this writing campaign. You can’t imagine how welcome a note of support and encouragement helps when these people are so isolated and feel alone and frightened. Provided - Note cards, pens and pizza Bring - Stamps and Beverage of your choice RSVP to Maureen so we are sure to have enough pizza.
