Flower Ceremony
Sunday 5/10 at 10AM We will hold our annual UU Flower Service/Communion, celebrating beauty, community, and uniqueness. Please bring a flower of your choice, either from your own garden. or from the field or roadside. The flowers will all be placed in a large vase, symbolizing the beauty and diversity of life and our community. At the end of the service, each participant will bring home a different flower than they brought.

Despacho with Maureen Bonner
Sunday @ 10AM We will be celebrating the sacred Andean ritual of gratitude toward Pachamama, Mother Earth. A Despacho ceremony is intended to bring about harmony and balance with Mother Earth. Drawing on recent findings from plant science, we'll use the recent book Light Eaters by Zoe Schlanger to reimagine our green cohabitants of this lovely planet. *OK chemotrophs, I hear you. Sunday @ 10AM We'll talk about an alternative interpretation to the story of Jesus feeding the masses with the 5 or 7 loaves of bread and 2 or a few fishes. Though the details change in different accounts of the loaves and the fishes, the interpretation has remained constant. This interpretation alters the explanations of the miracle and speaks of a timely purpose. "Anger" with Martine Kieffer
Sunday @ 10 AM This service will be an exploration of a very misunderstood emotion: Anger. We will explore its God given values and purpose. We will also explore how it often goes astray into destruction. Martine Kieffer is a licensed clinical social worker who maintains a private practice. Her focus of treatment is trauma, addiction and spiritual issues. She also teaches a college course in Northern State Prison in Newark and East Jersey State prison in Rahway. Martine is a non-denominational minster who works with people of all religions and spiritual beliefs |
